Dair

DAIR is a Polish band playing Celtic folk music.

Our group including five different personalities makes up a good team. The band’s instruments are: traverse Irish flute, violin, diatonic accordion, acoustic guitar, bouzouki and bass guitar. We visit different Celtic places arranging pieces of music our own way and giving them our character. The word “dair” in Gaelic translates as “an oak tree”. There’s another interesting meaning to the word “dair”. It is one of the 80 known words in Doriathian language (of Luthien Tinuviel) and means “ shade of a tree”, ref. to “Lord of the Rings”-J.R.R. Tolkien.
